Busyness is often worn as a badge of honor, but I prefer to think about it in the same manner as a veteran shows his missing limb. It is a pathological reaction to the requirement we have to feel that what we are doing has a purpose.
After all, the busier a task makes you, the more important it must be? Right?
There is no correlation between the importance of what you are doing and how long or difficult it is.
Learn to be at ease with not being busy, and still knowing that you can do what you need to do, as well as what you need to do.
There is more than enough time for the important things in life, but not enough time for the distractions.
